Located at the crossroads of the spectacular Columbia River Gorge and the magnificent Cascade Range, Hood River County is a scenic wonderland of natural beauty in every season. Here you’ll discover a world of year-round outdoor recreation, dramatic vistas, historic landmarks, fantastic food, wine and beer—and best of all, warm, friendly people.
Hood River welcomes sports enthusiasts in all seasons. In addition to being the windsurfing capital of the world, we offer kiteboarding and stand-up paddleboarding, mountain and road biking, hiking, whitewater kayaking and rafting, fishing, and world-class skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing. With two ports and two boat basins, the area also serves both commercial as well as recreational boating.
The fertile Hood River Valley has been famous for its orchards for more than a century. From blossom time to the turning of the leaves, the more 14,000 acres of commercial pear, apple, cherry, and peach orchards provide miles of scenic beauty. Fruit grown here is of such exceptional quality that the county leads the world in Anjou pear production, and 50% of the nation’s winter pear crop comes from Hood River. The local “Fruit Loop” is a favorite with visitors and locals alike.
Livability and quality of life are priorities in Hood River County. Our mild climate and clean mountain air, our year-round recreational activities for the whole family, and our fresh local culinary delights and award-winning wineries make it a popular destination for visitors from around the world. Great NW feel, Walk everywhere

Date of Stay:

We stayed here with a large group of guys for a bachelor party weekend. We were impressed with all the sleeping options! Pull out couch, extra mattress under the downstairs bed. Nobody had to share a bed if they didn't want too. The house has great Northwest charm, with creative art on kite surfboards hung throughout the house. Everything worked as it was suppose too, including the grill outback on the expansive deck. The hidden extra shower in the laundry room made getting ready easy. We were able to walk to every brewery and restaurant in town, without having to worry about anyone driving. We were nervous about the recent fires, but Amy was available to give me day to day updates and was willing to work with us if needed. Highly recommend this place!

Exceeded expectations!

Date of Stay:

Beautiful house, beautiful property, and great rental agency.

Great place to stay for Hood River experience

Date of Stay:

The house is neat and clean and inviting. Plenty of bed linens and bath towels. Air conditioner was a nice feature for the time we were there because it got really hot during the day. Located nice walking distance to restaurants and shops. Amy was very responsive to questions and made us feel welcome.
